Jones shook his head. “We took them home. Lauren made sangria and threw a party. It was good stuff too, he was really glad to get that bible back.”

They both laughed, easy as ever, and Diana fought down a rush of unease and regret. “I missed a lot while I was gone, didn't I?”

Jones leaned back in his chair so that the back of his head touched her shoulder. “It wasn't the same without you.”

'Kay, so I have no idea if this is what you had in mind, and I really hope I just didn't totally butcher your prompt, but here is a oneshot I just started writing right after I read your prompt. It focuses more one Sara's sister's disappearance than how she became who she is. Sorry!

(First off, this is such a wonderful idea! WC's female characters are kickass and beautiful down to the soul, and they deserve some celebration!)

How 'bout June's thoughts the first time she meets Neal, when Kate is killed/he ends up back in prison, and finally, when he gets out again.

June and El
(long prompt, bear with me)

An old enemy comes to town and is still a threat, so June decides to run a con on him that will send him running. Worst comes to worst, she'll shoot him as Plan B, but she'll try conning first.

The possibility of Plan B means that she doesn't want to involve Neal or Mozzie and none of it would be okay with Peter. But El sees her at a social event and senses that she's upset and gets it out of her. Turns out El has a ruthless side - she loves that the man/men in her life are such good men, but El, like June, thinks that when it comes to someone who's def going to hurt your family, then you take no prisoners. June doesn't want to get El involved, but it really would go much better as a two-woman con.

OR any other reason for El and June to work together as very morally gray but brilliant con women to take someone down. Feel free to au.

They both use their seductiveness but also their smarts of course, and they are both badasses and tough and as cons would be really perceptive about people, their emotional weaknesses to exploit, etc.

Super double bonus if Diana figures out something is up and starts investigating on her own, figuring out what they're doing but not wanting to tell Peter without proof (and maybe not even then since she cares about both El and June as friends). But even though she knows what they are planning in a general sense, she has no proof of wrongdoing, but she's torn, since she knows that they methods go against her code and what she believes in, in terms of the law and so on.

Diana loves costume parties. She thinks of cool costumes and convinces Christy to go as cool couple-y costumes that go together or else cool unusual costumes. Everyone at work is confused since Diana seems the type to threaten to shoot someone if they tried to make her dress up in silly costumes.
